PBS Practitioner

Alison McMillan is our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner at Stepping Stones Therapy Services. She brings extensive experience in the disability sector, supporting individuals with diverse needs across a range of settings. Alison is committed to delivering person-centred, evidence-based support, with a strong focus on enhancing quality of life, promoting independence, and reducing behaviours of concern through proactive and collaborative approaches. She works closely with families, support teams, and other professionals to develop practical, meaningful strategies tailored to each individual. For this, she is also committed to continuously enhancing her knowledge and continually upskills through professional development in current evidence-based practices.

Outside of Stepping Stones, Alison enjoys keeping active and is passionate about supporting children with disabilities through equine therapy and community engagement initiatives. She values opportunities to contribute beyond her clinical role and remains strongly connected to the community. In her personal time, Alison enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as with her beloved Labrador, Viva.
